Regular bearing hican. Kansas, 1980. This seedling of Weschcke shagbark crossed with pecan produces a very large nut (35-40 lbs) with very light colored kernels and excellent quality. Pollinated by shagbark hickory varieties. Very good production. Protogynous. November 10th shuck split in Southeastern Ohio. Foliage is resistant to blights and remains green until the fall frost. Tree is precocious, producing nuts after 5 years on a field grafted rootstock.
