Petrichor Passion™ (formerly Petrichor 3) is the flagship selection of Seren Petrichor of Petrichor Pawpaws in Bat Cave, North Carolina, grown from seed sourced from a Western North Carolina farmer's market or co-op. Extra-large, thin-skinned fruit has a low seed-to-flesh ratio and freestone seeds. The flavor is described as a blend of sweet, fruity cream and custard with hints of vanilla. One of the earliest ripening trees in the Petrichor collection; the fruit becomes highly aromatic as it ripens, with the skin turning slightly yellow.
