'Papple's Hope' (Grimo 99) is a heartnut from a 'Calendar' x 'Rhodes' cross made by Elton Papple in 2005 and introduced by Grimo Nut Nursery, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Medium-sized nuts have a smooth inner cavity and release the kernel in one piece, with about 34% kernel, among the highest of the Grimo heartnuts. It sheds pollen before its female flowers are receptive (protandrous) and is a useful late pollinizer.
