'Truxton' hazelnut is a Z's nutty farm selection. It grows to about 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide as a bush. This is a hybrid that owes part of its origination to a Faroka parent that was originally from Mr. Gellatly of British Columbia. This tree is a good grower with large nuts, decent production. It is good for zones 6a and warmer. Nut size depends on fertility, and can double in exceptional soils
