The Appalachian truffle, Tuber canaliculatum, has been found in the Appalachian mountain range and throughout the Eastern United States and Midwest. It is also known as the Michigan truffle. This truffle has an an exceptionally long shelf life and have been shown to preserve in proper conditions for over a month.
