“Gift of Sofiyivka,” an early-ripening hybrid persimmon from Ukraine. It ripens about three weeks earlier than Rosseyanka on a less vigorous tree, with improved fruit quality and flavor. The fruit is sweet and fragrant, keeps well after harvest, and was the sweetest of the Ukrainian cultivars in a 2023 comparison. Frost resistant; if Rosseyanka grows well for you, Dar Sofiyevki likely will too.
