A hybrid persimmon bred in 2011 by the late David Lavergne from the Asian persimmon Kuro Kaki crossed with a hybrid male (Rosseyanka x open-pollinated American), making it roughly half Asian and half American persimmon. It was grown out and trialed by England's Orchard, where it came through the 2014-15 polar vortex with no winter injury. Precocious and heavy bearing, with fruit that is astringent until soft and contains only a couple of small, slender seeds. Also known as Kandy Corn.
